Recognizing the fundamental roles that education, the economy, and women play in post-conflict recovery, ESMT and BMW are partnering to offer up to ten women displaced from Ukraine an opportunity to join the Global Online MBA through the BMW Group Fellowships for Ukraine program. Over the course of 24 months, fellowship recipients will develop the skills and competences needed to contribute to Ukraine’s economic redevelopment.

Key features

BMW Group will pay tuition for up to ten women displaced from Ukraine to study for the ESMT Berlin Global Online MBA. The triple-accredited, globally recognized, MBA program starts in January, May, and September and can be completed in as little as 24 months of part-time study.

Application criteria

To apply for the BMW Group Fellowship for Ukraine, applicants need to meet all the following conditions:

  • Are female

  • Are either a Ukrainian national or have a residence permit for Ukraine

  • Are able to formally demonstrate that they are a displaced person

  • Meet the Global Online MBA admission criteria - first degree (bachelor), three or more years of work experience, and strong English language skills

Eligibility

  • Who can apply for the BMW Group Fellowship for Ukraine?

     

    To apply for the BMW Group Fellowship for Ukraine, you need to meet all the following conditions:

    • You are female
    • You are either a Ukrainian national or have a residence permit for Ukraine
    • You have formal documentation that proves you are a displaced person
    • You meet the Global Online MBA admission criteria - you have a first degree (bachelor), three or more years of work experience, and you speak English
  • How can I prove I am a displaced person?

     

    Unfortunately, it’s difficult for us to give you a definite answer as it depends on your current host country. For those in the EU, please refer to this EU directive outlining the process.

    What we will need, however, is an official certificate. This could be a residence permit for the host country or similar official proof.

  • Do I need to be in Germany to apply?

     

    No! The fellowship is focused on female Ukrainian nationals or residents displaced across the world. Applicants do not need to be in Germany.

  • How can I prove English proficiency?

     

    If you are able to share results from a test of English such as TOEFL or IELTS, then we would like to see them. Alternatively, we will evaluate your skills during the admission interview and formal proof may not be requested.

Admissions

  • What does the fellowship cover?

    The fellowship covers the full Global Online MBA program tuition fee - €26,500. The tuition includes access to the learning platform and content, and required case study licenses. The fellowship does not include accommodation, travel, or other costs associated with participation in either the Berlin or Global Experience Weeks.

    Up to 10 fellowships are available.

  • How do I apply for the fellowship and the program?

     

    You will apply to the BMW Group Fellowship for Ukraine and the Global Online MBA program at the same time by using the online application form. There is no application fee.

    To start your application , you will need the following:

    • An up to date CV showing at least three years of postgraduate professional experience
       
    • Answers to the following questions:
      • How will you make a difference with the BMW Group Fellowship for Ukraine and Global Online MBA program (max 250 words)
      • ESMT is committed to developing responsible leaders, what is your vision of responsible leadership? (250 words)
      • Introduce yourself to us and your future classmates; tell us what you will bring to the class (video; max 2 mins)
      • Optional: Is there any other information, not covered in the application, that you would like us to know about you? (max 250 words)
         
    • At least one professional recommendation
       
    • Transcripts of your undergraduate degree detailing courses and grades
       
    • Proof of English (TOEFL, IELTS test results, for example)
  • How much does it cost to apply?

     

    There is no fee to apply for the BMW Group Fellowship for Ukraine and the Global Online MBA program.

  • Can I still apply if I do not have my undergraduate degree transcripts?

     

    Yes! We recognize that you may not have access to the originals or even copies of your undergraduate degree transcripts and grades. If this is your case, please contact the Admissions Office for the next steps. Do not let this stop you from applying to the program!

  • Do I need to take an admission test?

     

    If you already have a GMAT or GRE score, please share it with us.

    In certain circumstances we may ask you to take the ESMT Business Admissions Test (BAT). If your first degree was in a non-quantitative discipline or if you are unable to access or show your undergraduate degree transcript, we may ask you to take the BAT.

    The Business Admissions Test can be taken online or in person. The test takes 2 hours and is comprised of four parts (each 30 minutes long):

    • Communication Analysis (CA)
    • Critical Thinking (CT)
    • Data Interpretation (DI)
    • Data Analysis (DA)

    There is no fee for qualifying applicants to the BMW Group Fellowship for Ukraine to take the Business Admissions Test.
