  • The Portfolio Management Program

The Portfolio Management Program (PMP) is an optional two-year elective during the MIM program in which selected students actively manage a real-money portfolio - 1 million Euros per group with a total portfolio value of 3 million Euros. The concept of the PMP enables participants to combine theory and practice to develop real trading strategies on the open market.

PMP participants are selected during a competitive interview process after the start of the ESMT MIM program.

  • International options

In addition to gathering a highly diverse class with typically over 40 nationalities, the MIM program offers a wide variety of mandatory and optional international opportunities to go abroad during the program:

    • International exchanges with world renown universities like Imperial College Business School in the UK, Singapore Management University, IE in Spain, and the Smith School of Business at Queen's university in Canada
    • Double Degree at Yale
    • The MIM Global Network Week
    • ...and many more

  • Foreign language training

In addition to completing the entire program in English, all MIM students study a foreign language. Language instruction is included into the curriculum, with options to continue instruction electronically when working on projects and internships.

    For students fluent in German

You will choose a language needed to effectively manage business relationships in the world's fastest growing economies. Possibilities include, but are not limited to, Chinese, Portuguese, and French.

For students not fluent in German

You will have the chance to study German, which allows you to complete internships and projects in German organizations and dramatically increases your competitiveness on the German job market after graduation.

Students are able to practice their foreign languages during their internships, master's thesis, and social impact project, all or some of which can be in a country where that language is spoken.

The MIM language courses are provided by our partner GLS Sprachenzentrum Berlin.

    Sprechen Zentrum

Additionally, all enrolled students will have free access to Babbel, our official online language learning partner.
