The EMBA one-week modules allow students to engage with peers in a “corporate retreat” setting. Seven of ten EMBA modules run on ESMT’s campus in Berlin, Germany. Module five takes students to partner schools in the Global Network for Advanced Management. During module six the EMBAs attend the Academy of Management conference in a North American city. Finally, a one-week International Field Seminar (Module 9) runs in an important region of global business. Recent modules took place in South America (Brazil, Chile, and Argentina), in China (Shanghai and Beijing), and in South East Asia (Malaysia, Vietnam and Hong Kong).

Between modules students pursue independent study, which includes pre-and post-module reading, assignments, case studies, group work, and the final report.
