
Scholarships
For self-funded candidates, ESMT offers partial-tuition, merit-based scholarships. ESMT awards scholarships based on academic excellence, personal and professional achievement, particularly strong leadership experience, and outstanding growth potential. Scholarships for the Executive MBA are applied directly to the applicant’s tuition.
To receive a scholarship, Executive MBA applicants first complete an online application to the Executive MBA program. In the relevant section of the application, candidates can submit their motivation for applying for any number of the following scholarships. Self-funded EMBA applicants are automatically considered for any available scholarships.

Early bird tuition discount
All applications from self-financing candidates received in the first admissions round are eligible for an early bird discount..
Value: 17% of EMBA tuition (€10,000)
Candidates for the 2021 EMBA intake who submit their application by May 1 are eligible for this scholarship.

GMAT / GRE / or ESMT Admission Test Scholarship
Applicants who submit successful GMAT, GRE (equivalent) or ESMT Business Admission Test scores will be considered for scholarships to acknowledge their success.

GMAT (or GRE equivalent) of 700 or higher
ESMT Business Admission Test of 16 or higherEligibility: Applicants will be considered after submitting a completed application to the EMBA program including official test results from either the GMAT or GRE. GRE scores will be converted to a GMAT equivalent using this online converter.
NOTE: Applicants must submit official test results no older than five years from the date of application, from either the GMAT or GRE. For the ESMT Business Admission Test, only the results from the first exam will be considered for the scholarship. Subsequent test results are not eligible.

30% Club / ESMT EMBA Women’s scholarship
The 30% Club is a global gender diversity campaign which aims to increase the number of women on boards, and throughout the pipeline. Started in the UK in 2010, the Club has a goal of achieving a minimum of 30% women on FTSE-100 boards. Currently the figure stands at 26.1% up from 12.5%.
The 30% Club aims to develop a diverse pool of talent for all businesses, through the efforts of its Chair and CEO members who are committed to better gender balance at all levels of their organizations.
ESMT and the 30% Club are committed to helping more women reach influential positions. The 30% Club/ESMT EMBA Scholarship has been established to encourage and support outstanding women who are aspiring towards more senior leadership roles.

Eligibility: Female candidates showing proven senior leadership experience in the public or private sectors.

Merit scholarship
Self-funded applicants can choose to be considered for merit-based scholarships awarded from ESMT. Scholarships are awarded based on personal and professional achievements and growth potential, strong leadership experience.

Founders and co-founders scholarship
To further strengthen ESMT's support of entrepreneurs, EMBA applicants who have founded or co-founded their own companies can apply for the following scholarship.
Value: up to 50% (€29,750) of the EMBA program tuition fees
Eligibility: At least three years experience running your own startup, including equity ownership in the company.
Requirements: Applicants should include a motivational essay explaining why they qualify for this scholarship.

Non-profit scholarship
Value: up to 50% (€29,750) of EMBA program tuition fees
Eligibility: EMBA applicants working in the not-for-profit sector (oder gemeinnützige Organizationen) will automatically be considered for this scholarship.
Requirements: Applicants should include a motivational essay explaining why they qualify for this scholarship.

Diversity scholarships
ESMT strives for as diverse a group of individuals as possible, and aims to provide an inclusive environment for the development of future business leaders.
Value: Up to 30% (€17,850) of tuition fees.
Eligibility: Applicants from under-represented backgrounds can apply to this scholarship. While all aspects of diversity will be considered, ESMT specifically encourages applications from women for this scholarship.

ESMT Berlin is pleased to partner with e-fellows to offer a scholarhship to e-fellows members, alumni or e-fellows MBA day participants.
Value: up to 50% (€29,750) of EMBA tuition
Eligibility: A motivational essay explaining why you are the perfect candidate for the scholarship should accompany your application for admission to the EMBA program.

Eligibility: Candidates with permanent residence in any African country. Candidates are expected to prove their strong intention to promote business development and pursue professional options in Africa within a reasonable timeframe after completion of the program.
ESMT Americas Scholarship
Number of scholarships available: two
Eligibility: Candidates with permanent residence in any South, Central or North American country. Candidates are expected to prove their strong intention to promote business development and pursue professional options in Latin and/or North America.
ESMT Central and Eastern Europe Scholarship
Number of scholarships available: two
Eligibility: Candidates with permanent residence in a Central or Eastern European country: Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus, Moldova, Ukraine, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, Croatia, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Montenegro, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Albania, Romania, Bulgaria.
Candidates are expected to prove their strong intention to promote business development and pursue professional options in Central and Eastern Europe within a reasonable timeframe after completion of the program.
ESMT Middle East and Central Asia Scholarship

Bundeswehr scholarship
ESMT is pleased to offer all German Bundeswehr Officers who are active members or exiting the military a scholarship for the EMBA program.
Number of Scholarships available: Unlimited
Value: 30% of tuition fees (€17,850)
Eligibility: Applications must be received within one year of the formal ending of service. Interested candidates must first be accepted to the EMBA program and express their interest in the scholarship when applying.
